We are working with a Traditional New Build developer looking to hire a Senior Quantity Surveyor based our of their Kent office. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be working closely with their commercial, pre construction and procurement team overseeing multiple residential new build projects.

They are looking for candidates with:

• HNC / BSc in Quantity Surveying

• Proven experience working with a residential house builder

• Strong understanding of building regulations and legal obligations

• Trad New Build experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.

• Oversee procurement and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.

• Conduct valuations, variations, and final accounts.

• Provide cost reporting and risk assessments to senior management.

• Work closely with project teams to ensure financial efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

• Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team.

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within residential development.

• Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office.
