As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Site Manager to join our team, playing a key role in managing the successful delivery of our development projects, including large-scale RC frame projects.
Role Overview:
The Senior Site Manager will oversee and manage the on-site construction activities for residential and mixed-use projects, with a focus on RC frame construction. You will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role is ideally suited for a professional with extensive experience in site management, who has a strong internal focus on operational efficiency, team collaboration, and upholding company processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery:
Oversee the delivery of multiple sites, ensuring that RC frame projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Ensure that quality standards and company processes are adhered to at all times.Site Operations:
Manage all aspects of day-to-day site operations, including supervision of subcontractors and site staff. Ensure efficient use of resources, materials, and equipment, while maintaining a safe and organised site.Health and Safety Compliance:
Lead the implementation of site-specific safety measures, ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation. Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, addressing any potential risks or hazards promptly.Team Management:
Directly manage site personnel, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven team culture. Lead by example and mentor junior staff and subcontractors to improve efficiency and maintain high standards.Quality Assurance:
Monitor and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that the work meets the required specifications and company standards. Conduct regular inspections and resolve any quality issues in a timely manner.Internal Stakeholder Management:
Maintain strong internal communication with the Project Manager and other key stakeholders. Provide regular progress reports, highlighting any challenges and recommending solutions for improvement.Client Relationship:
Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders, acting as a representative of the company on-site. Ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded.Budget and Cost Control:
Monitor costs throughout the construction process and report any deviations from the budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage resources to maximise efficiency.Reporting:
Regularly report to senior management on progress, issues, and milestones, providing accurate and timely information on all aspects of the project.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in site management, ideally within RC frame construction and residential or mixed-use development environments. Experience working for a developer is highly advantageous.Qualifications:
Degree or HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. NEBOSH or SMSTS qualification is essential. First Aid at Work and CSCS card are also required.Skills:
Strong knowledge of RC frame construction processes and techniques, with excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop site teams to achieve the best results. Strong decision-making and leadership skills.Communication:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Health & Safety:
In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction, especially for RC frame projects.
