Quantity Surveyor - Beaconsfield - residential - £50,000 - £70,000

​Role – Quantity Surveyor (Immediate start)

Location – Beaconsfield

Salary - £50,000 - £70,000

I am currently working with a leading regional housebuilder based in Beaconsfield (Buckinghamshire), that is looking to make an additional hire to the quantity surveying team.

As Quantity Surveyor you will report into the Commercial Director and be responsible for running two schemes, one live site at 200 units & another currently at pre-construction with over 350 units, coming live this year.

Coming in at Quantity Surveyor you will have the opportunity to grow from QS to a Senior QS within 16 months as the division is set to grow from 700, to 900 units per annum.

This role is looking for an experienced QS, or an Assistant QS that is ready to step up.

You will have a demonstrable background of having commercial responsibility of developments within another housebuilder. Ideally timber frame experience.

Main responsibilities in the role will be –

• Cost planning and feasibility work

• Analysing tenders and appointing contractors

• Handling contractors re-measurement, interim and final account payments

• Production and administration of contracts.

• Pre and post-tender meetings, reviewing tender inquiries, including bills of quantities, estimating, and tendering on commercial and industrial projects, and preparing tender and contract documents.

• Assessment and negotiation of variations and claims

• Assess cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
